Key Carrier Group, Co is looking for safety person to complete our great team, we located in Burr Ridge IL 60527.
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Key Carrier Group, Co Safety Program.
The purpose of the Transportation Safety Manager is to develop and implement industry best practices for transportation safety, FMCSA, DOT, state and local regulatory compliance.
This will include development and monitoring of safety-related programs and metrics.
This role will be responsible for maintaining existing safety practices, developing new safety initiatives, and supporting driver training and orientation.
As a member of the Key Carrier management team, this individual will assume a strategic role within the company.
This will include direct responsibility for safety, maintenance, recruitment, onboarding, training, and administration as defined below:
Manage the driver qualification process while ensuring documentation related to Commercial Motor Vehicle Records, DOT physicals, National Registry, Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and Drug and Alcohol testing are maintained appropriately
Monitor compliance with Hours of Service regulations, ELD usage, pre/post trip inspections and FMCSA
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and handle DOT complaints under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Manage and oversee auditing of driver logs
Manage and oversee new driver orientation
Recruit, screen, and interview applicants for driving positions
Develop, implement, and supervise the company driver safety program
Conduct post-accident and post-injury investigations; root cause analysis; and ensure proper completion of required documentation and reporting to the proper agencies
Communicate with drivers regarding core safety principles and accident avoidance
Aid in developing positive relations throughout the company
2+ years of experience in Trucking Safety & Driver Management in a Transportation environment
Understanding of commercial motor vehicle operations and maintenance requirements
Extensive understanding of regulatory requirements related to the FMCSR and OSHA
Excellent written and communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications - Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Ifta, HWY 2290, IRP Plates, Tenstreet, Qualcomm, Samba Safety, Samsara, Pro Transpot.
- Monday to Friday.
- 8 Hour Shift, 8am to 4 Pm.
- Weekends availablity over the phone in a case of crash happen.
